Patient Care Technicians
Hands of Angels Training Institute (HOA) Patient Care Technician program is intended to provide students with the knowledge and abilities needed to work in the healthcare industry. Patient care skills, phlebotomy skills, and EKG skills are the three key competencies you will study in this program. You will be qualified for a national certification thanks to the patient care abilities you will learn throughout the program. The program’s successful completion will qualify the students for a national certification and a certificate of completion. The certification includes those for patient care technicians, phlebotomy technicians, EKG technicians, cardiac monitor telemetry technicians, and cardiac. Our curriculum was created with the job market and the level of competition in mind.
Patient Care Technicians provide basic healthcare to patients staying in a hospital or other medical facility. They are ensured to keep the patients’ rooms clean, sanitized, and orderly each day. Patient Care Technicians will regularly visit patients to monitor their health and vital signs, assist with medications prescribed by Nurses or Physicians, provide emotional support before and after treatments and assist patients in completing basic tasks like eating, using the restroom, or grooming themselves.
They will typically assist Physicians or Nurses during treatments and will explain treatment methods as perscribed.
